You can make a difference. We have a massive vision and aggressive goals and the only way we’re going to get there is with your help. Volunteers are the heartbeat of our organization. We are constantly looking for passionate, caring, like-minded individuals to join us on the ground as we prevent, identify and empower victims of sex trafficking.
Due to the sensitive nature of our work, prospective team members must complete the following four steps in order to become an official team member. Once you become an approved team member, you will receive the next steps for training on the specific area you’re interested in.
Please read ALL of the below items in their entirety.
1. Complete the team member application
2. Provide a background check (Investigative Consumer Report)
In order to become a team member you must clear an Investigative Consumer Report, which includes a Social Security Number Verification/Address History, Nationwide Sex Offender Registry, Multi-State Criminal Search and Single County Searches. Although this form mentions credit, we do not check your credit report. Your information will remain confidential.
To complete your background check, click the button below to download the Authorization Form. Please print and complete the Authorization Form entirely, and then either email it back to us at [email protected] or bring it with you to an upcoming Orientation. Unfortunately, we cannot accept background checks from other providers. We will receive the results directly from our provider.
3. Attend a volunteer orientation
Check the Events page for the next scheduled team member orientation (Note: If there’s not an orientation meeting on the schedule, please check back again, as we’ll be adding more dates soon). You do not need to have any of the above items complete in order to attend an orientation. Please register on the event page for the orientation meetings.
**In addition to completing the four steps above, we strongly recommend that you take time to read at least one Recommended Books and watch one or two Recommended Films. To learn even more, check out the Recommended Research portion of the site. The more educated you become, the more likely you are to recognize where your gifts and talents can play a role on this team.
